Join Our Team: Senior Algorithm Developer for Radar Systems

Are you keen to join the radar revolution and take on opportunities to solve interesting problems?
Passionate about squeezing the most out of a system together with customers and sharp colleagues?
Are you into topics within signal processing, antenna arrays and embedded machine learning?

Our System team, composed of nearly ten PhD and MSc experts, collaborates across the entire product lifecycle from early system studies to final quality assurance. We are deeply immersed in exploring, designing, and optimizing our pride – the Acconeer pulsed coherent radar system. We are currently seeking a talented algorithm developer to join us in creating innovative processing methods and algorithms for our radar chipsets.

Here is what we are looking for:
  • A curious mindset and openness for continuous learning.
  • A solid technical foundation, preferably a PhD or an MSc plus relevant work experience.
  • Deep expertise in time series analysis, signal processing methods, modelling, and simulations.
  • Expertise in machine learning for constrained systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical circuits and systems is beneficial for developing optimized algorithms and solutions.
  • Good communication skills and a structured way of working.

Our latest generation radar system includes multi-channel features, so experience with mmWave and beamforming or similar processing, as well as radio propagation aspects, is a definite plus.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop radar data processing solutions by modelling, prototyping, data exploration, implementation, and validation.
  • Drive architectural algorithm aspects and stay current with related research topics to continuously introduce new techniques and push boundaries.
  • Collaborating with both the software team (responsible for converting algorithms to embedded C) and the ASIC team (designing our IC’s).
  • Participating in public funded research projects where Acconeer explores new grounds alongside universities and partners.
  • Filing patents as a natural part of the work process to protect critical IP.
About Acconeer

At Acconeer, the way we work together as one team is crucial. Problems and solutions are openly discussed, ideas are welcomed and encouraged, and we have a strong culture of helping and supporting. You will have the chance to excel in areas you do very well, as well as to try out new things, while always having a team supporting and cheering you on. Your work will directly impact our radar products and customer solutions.

Acconeer is a young and innovative company developing the world´s most power efficient 60 GHz radar. The Acconeer radar sensor combines extremely low power consumption with sub-mm distance estimation accuracy. It enables distance measurements, micro-motion detection, material classification and much more, all within a sensor sized 5×5 mm including antennas. Acconeer is located in a beautiful office in Västra Hamnen, Malmö, Sweden. We are currently a group of around 60 people with high R&D focus, working closely together over the R&D disciplines – IC design, hardware, software and algorithm research. We have sold almost 3M radar sensors to a large and growing international customer base in the IoT, consumer electronics, industrial and automotive segments. This means our sensors are integrated in everything from car interiors and touchless buttons to industrial tank-level gauges and parking sensors.

Working at Acconeer

We love working in a scaleup where we have real possibilities to influence both the product and how we work. As a small company with open-minded employees, it is always easy to discuss people inside or outside your team to satisfy your appetite for knowledge. We get to work with cutting edge technology in close collaboration with our colleagues. We believe that people are most efficient when they are allowed to plan work life in a way that suits individual needs and circumstances.

If you feel the same way about teamwork and amazing technology, we’d love to meet you! We will evaluate applications continuously. For questions, contact recruiting manager Kåre Agardh at +46-70-551 3618.
