Proximity Sensing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Acconeer\u2019s A121 radar sensor can detect a verity of materials, including carbon fibre, with millimetre precision in the harshest environments. With the automotive industry shifting to a higher usage of carbon fibre-based materials, traditional sensors fall short due to the inability to detect carbon fibre or are from a robustness perspective not suitable for use in automotive manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Size Does Matter<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Acconeer sensor is small, small enough to fit within a M12 cylinder. This makes the solution superior when it comes to placement possibilities and the ability to measure down to the micrometer with a minimal blind zone. The radar reflects on most solid and liquid materials, making measurement possibilities in an automation context endless.
