LNER set to install radar seat sensors

Finding a seat has never been easier!

British train operation LNER together with our customer Sensative is installing more than 36,000 “SeatSense” sensors to their train fleet. The SeatSense sensor uses Acconeer radar to help commuters and travelers find available seats and/or wheelchair accessible spaces through a real-time color system.

Beyond offering a new layer of customer experience, the sensor also provides valuable information to LNER themselves by helping with demand forecasting and updates for no-shows and seating information, all in real-time.
