Finggal Link is transforming the way we monitor health and well-being using radar

Advancing Health Monitoring

As technology continues to evolve, new solutions are transforming the way we monitor health and well-being. Sensor-based systems powered by millimeter wave radar are paving the way for seamless, contact-free tracking of vital signs. With the ability to analyze data in real time and provide valuable insights, Finggal Link’s sensor advancements are making remote health monitoring more accessible, efficient, and reliable than ever.

Finggal Link is actively introducing these millimeter-wave sensors into personal, medical, and nursing environments. Providing an accessible solution with life-saving capabilities.

Monitoring system using millimeter wave technology

Finggal Link has developed a multi sensor-based monitoring system that utilizes millimeter wave radar from Acconeer. By employing multible sensors, including 60GHz millimeter wave radar, that excel in motion detection, the system can measure vital information such as presence/absence of the subject, respiration rate, heart rate, and sleep information without contact and while the subject is clothed.

In addition, the built-in communication function transmits the measured data to a cloud server, analyzes it using a proprietary algorithm, and alerts the user if the measured data exceeds a set threshold value, thereby enabling real-time monitoring of vital information remotely.

“Acconeer showed us how the A121 detects materials thoroughly throughout the whole proccess, making the development of the product very smooth.

Urination Detection and Acconeer’s A121 Radar Sensor

A new feature in this monitoring system is urination detection. This function is made possible by Acconeer’s A121 radar sensor. The A121 radar sensor is a low-power, high-precision sensor that can detect differences in reflection.  Urination detection looks at the wetness of the diaper where a sudden change in reflection indicates that a dry surface now is wet.

The A121 was superior to other sensors in terms of accuracy, making the choice to go with Acconeer easy. Another advantage is that it has no radio interference compared to other sensors.

Looking to the future

Finggal Link will continue to actively introduce millimeter-wave sensors into personal, medical, and nursing environments while enabling them to connect with devices from a wide range of manufacturers while also promoting the development of imaging radar, enhance the development and application of 3D applications. All to advance the creation of new objects to further evolve them into even more convenient sensors.
