Acconeer AB, a leading innovation company in the mobile sensing area announces that it has raised a SEK 20 million investment round lead by BGA Invest, the company also announced the appointment of Lars Lindell as new CEO, effective from May 15th.
Tord Wingren, Chairman of Acconeer AB commented, “we are very proud to announce both the closing of our latest funding round which was oversubscribed and the recruitment of Lars Lindell. The interest for this funding underscores the disruptive nature of Acconeers sensing technology at the same time as it enables the company to take its offering into a commercial product”.
Mr Lindell brings +20 years of experience working in various capacities within the information technology and telecom industries. Mr. Lindell most recently held the position of VP sales of Ericsson business unit Modems and prior to this was the country manager for the same business in Japan for 8 years. Prior to joining Ericsson Mr. Lindell was VP of the CDMA business unit of Interwave Communication (NASDAQ), a pioneer in wireless communication in Mountain View, California.
Mr. Lindell has an M.B.A. from University of Cambridge, England and a Master of Science Electrical Engineering, with specialization in Telecommunication from Lund Institute of Technology, Sweden.
